The answer to whether to break it up largely depends on how Stella is handling occlusion therapy and what she is doing while she is "patched". If she can tolerate patching then going straight through is acceptable, however, it is really important to emphasize that Stella needs to be engaged in something visually demanding. Plus she will do much better if she is engaged in something that requires her eyes and hands to work together while patched. The research shows that her visual brain will develop much better if she engages in visual-motor activities during the occlusion process. I hope that helps!
