Comment by kara heying on April 16, 2012 at 12:10pm That is so great Jen! I went to your conference a few years ago and it was great! I hope to get back out in the future. Anyway, I so glad we are starting to use this method for sharing ideas and communicating. It helps all the SC's stay informed and brainstorm ideas. Thanks!
Comment by Jen Simonson, OD, FCOVD on April 16, 2012 at 12:16am Each September we have the Colorado Vision Training Conference for 15 hrs of education held at a lodge by the Rocky Mountain National Park. (This year is the 43rd). I've always loved this meeting held for both doctor's and therapists in a retreat setting. I e-mailed the CO membership to see if anyone was interested in also holding a study group meeting where we shared in lecture responsibilities and have 6 yes responses. I think we'll start planning for early 2013, and host the first event at Jeri Schneebeck's or my office to really keep expenses minimal.
Hi Pauline! I tried a few years ago to start a SOVOTO group...it's under COVD Study Group and we had just 10 members. Once you get use to posting things to the group here on Sovoto and replying on Sovoto it will make it easier for people to see the trail of messages and information than with emails that get buried quickly.
Comment by Pauline Kolker Buck on March 29, 2012 at 5:28pm Dan,
There is an insurance committee for the COVD that is working on some of these issues that we are facing. I do know that Jason Clopton has info and some other COVD docs have created letters to their state board. I will see what I can find to help you out. As state coordinator do not try to do everything yourself. Reach out to your constituents and see if anyone is interested in working with you. You guide them but they can do the leg work.
Comment by Dan Bowersox, OD on March 29, 2012 at 2:18pm Oh, a piece of info... I am tring to become the state coordinator CoventryCares. I have sent info and had conversations with the medical director here and have hopes that education will trump misinformation and they will start doing better with paying for VT. Its law here in KY, but I hope I can move this company's policies in other states!
Comment by Dan Bowersox, OD on March 29, 2012 at 2:14pm Hi all...
Kentucky here! 2 of the 4 teams left in the NCAA Tourney...
The state is heating up for the game on Saturday!
Take Care!
Dan

Hello! Wanted to share great news that you can now upload videos directly on to Sovoto, as opposed to uploading using YouTube or Vimeo code.
Here is how to do it:

2. On the left-hand column navigation click "videos"
3. Immediately on screen you are prompted to "click to add videos." Follow the remaining on screen instructions.
