Anisometropic amblyopia... how to help my little Stella.
My daughter Stella will be 3 in August. We've been doing vision therapy for maybe 8 months, and patching for 9 months. A recent check-up with her ophthalmologist showed notably improved stereoscopy, but her acuity is still 20/40 in her left eye and 20/30 in her right eye. So, according to them, her acuity has not changed at all over the past year. (She started wearing glasses in April 2010 for farsightedness, and they keep her eyes straight. Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows whether it's okay to break up patching into a couple chunks of time or if it's better to patch in one big stretch each day. Currently, my two-year-old Stella patches for two hours a day. We usually do it all in the morning, but not always. Thanks!
