Thank you. We have a 504 plan but, the school is not following it and fighting it since Matt has 20/20 vision. In addition, the more time requirement has not been helpful as it takes Matt so much time to complete certain assignments. We then get overwhelmed with playing 'catch up'. Apparently, technology based accommodations should help but, there is a disconnect between all parties. Doctors are focused on therapies, schools want to only provide doctor advised accommodations (as they try to protect their teachers from 'discrimination against a disabled student suits') but, extra time and larger print doesn't help it actually creates 'other issues'. Parents are on the front lines but, aren't prepared to handle all that comes down the line. Was looking for technology based accommodations like - ipads, laptops, reading pens - to see if anyone has used them in classroom settings with success. Thanks again for your response.
