Do you hold your pen with an "inefficient" grip?

I hardly write longhand these days, but I was just looking at a website that sells VT aids to the public as well as to doctor's offices and I was intrigued to see that among the products they sell are pencil grips:  http://www.bernell.com/category/246 (Note, I am not endorsing this site, just providing the background to my comment).  I was wondering why a VT website would sell pencil grips when I noticed that some of the sales copy said the…See More

Hi Felicity, I have been in VT for one year. I too have one dominant eye and one very suppressed eye. Don't worry too much about seeing double. I can fuse at close distances, but I don't see double unless I am doing some exercises where I should be seeing double. It was a couple of months before I was ready for the Brock string. Then once I started working with it, a few more months before I got total fusion. Sometimes now I get a little frustrated and think I'm not making much progress. Then I look back at what I have accomplished in the last year. :) Also, after about 5 months my VT prescribed glasses with prisms. This helps to overcome the vertical misalignment of the eyes. I think she was waiting to make sure I could progress with the therapy before prescribing these. Good luck and hang in there!
