The lady of the flies



Victories in VT sound bizarre to those with normal vision. But I know I can share this here and get some nods of “Yes, that’s happened to me” or at least some laughs.



In September, I reported on my newfound appreciation of the visual details of mildew. Yes, that annoying black stuff that grown in your shower/bath that you want to get rid of. I was able to see it in better definition without my glasses or contacts.

I had my final vision therapy progress evaluation on March 5th. VT was a great ride I'll not soon forget... I'm in stereo very often and can put myself in when I'm not with simple exercises... but this isn't about that final eval.

The next day I began taking a prescription for Naproxen to  treat inflammation caused by some possible nerve damage in my left arm. Since taking the Naproxen I've been in 3-D constantly. My periphery is so tack sharp that it's been nearly disorienting and so…

My appointment with Dr. Irene Ludwig went very well.  She is very impressive.  At her recommendation, I am going to have another surgery where she will remove scar tissue and make adjustments on my eye muscles as needed.  Then I will see Dr. Hemmig again and get started on Vision Therapy.

Somewhere along the line, beginning in my childhood, I realized that I was able to cross my right eye - just my right eye. It was a great "party trick" and a fun conversation piece.

"Hey everyone, come see what Lilly can do!"



Ha! hmmmm.



Sometimes, when I became very very tired, my right eye would begin to drift inward.

Otherwise, my eyes looked pretty straight.
