What do I see when I look at a VT Patient's Problem?

As a clinician trained in visual science, I was heavily conditioned to look at an eye problem in a diagnostic way. Later, with coaching from Behavioural Optometric colleagues, I learned to convert the visual diagnostic terms into behaviours. In this way, patients better understood the value of participating in a Vision Therapy program. After the VT program, they would behave differently in their lives. That was a great step in more effectively describing the benefits of the time… Continue

Vision and Autism in Autism-Asperger's Digest Sept-Oct 2009

Kudos to Patty Lemer for having the lead article in the September-October 2009 Autism-Asperger's Digest!

http://www.autismdigest.com/ourlatestissue/tabid/59/Default.aspx

Patty was a featured speaker on vision and autism at the COVD meeting last year, and authored a book on the subject with OEP last year as well. The timing of Patty's article in the A-AD is nice because it dovetails with the current OVD theme issue on Autism Spectrum Disorders.

The Tipping Point is… Continue
