While not strictly VT, Nick is FCOVD and and I do think most of us have an interest in myopia control. Ortho-k is becoming a very hot topic. I remember seeing nick speak at COVD one year. St. Pete?

As a clinician trained in visual science, I was heavily conditioned to look at an eye problem in a diagnostic way. Later, with coaching from Behavioural Optometric colleagues, I learned to convert the visual diagnostic terms into behaviours. In this way, patients better understood the value of participating in a Vision Therapy program. After the VT program, they would behave differently in their lives. One of the potential barriers for parents and patients following through on office based programs of VT is the claim that home based VT is just as effective. Kudos to Patty Lemer for having the lead article in the September-October 2009 Autism-Asperger's Digest!
Patty was a featured speaker on vision and autism at the COVD meeting last year, and authored a book on the subject with OEP last year as well. The timing of Patty's article in the A-AD is nice because it dovetails with the current OVD theme issue on Autism Spectrum Disorders.
