For Chicago-land SOVOTO Folks: ust a quick reminder, I will be on the HealthBeat segment of ABC WLS TV News (channel 7) in the Chicago-land area tomorrow on Thursday Feb 25th at 10 PM. I will be interviewed on why some people become ill after watching 3D movies. WLS 10 PM news is the #1 most watched news program in ...Chicago. Hundred's of thousands of viewers tune in each night. I hope I don't blow it! Please watch and let me know what you think. Feel free to post comments to my Facebook/SOVOTO/MySpace Page or just email me at dmaino@ico.edu. Tell your friends....thanks.

Dom,
Just saw the piece at:

Great job by you and your patient. Had the usual "canned" OMD response, but I don't think that took too much away from the core message.

Dom,
Just saw the news segment on the WLS TV News website. You did a really nice job and the segment was good until they brought in the OMD, who forgot to read his journal on the NEI CITT research in October 2008 Archives of Ophthalmology, and made it sound like there wasn't strong research. Too bad they had to include the usual misinformed ophthalmologist to take away some of an otherwise very nicely done news piece.

Dom...I'm sure you will do a great job!

Amazing coincidence but Dr. Carl Hillier is also being interviewed on "San Diego Living", a morning TV show on FOX this Thursday morning too!

Something I think is important to touch on would be the public health value of Avatar, meaning if a child can not see the 3D or it makes them ill, then it is a good sign that they are having a binocular vision problem.

You will be wondeful, I'm sure!
Dan
