I feel the urge to share more before and after photos of myself post-VT. My mother and I recently took a trip to Disneyland, and it was a pleasure to bounce around the park, seeing it in full stereopsis, only to manifest the same results in photos. I especially loved the new Star Tours which now has a 3D feature. Wow!!

I also went to a show in LA and saw one of my favorite musicians, Tim Minchin. Going to gigs has always been a touch-and-go experience if I'm relatively far from the stage. As most concerts are in the dark, the musician on stage tends to look blurry, even with glasses or contacts on. I'm constantly having to overcompensate and work harder to keep my vision in focus. At one point, I urged myself to stay in stereopsis and he blurred significantly less. Wont be forgetting this any time soon.

My VT Dr. Hillier in Lemon Grove, CA, has recently fashioned me with new prisms on my glasses to aid in stereopsis, as my eyes tend to rove out when I relax. I will keep you guys posted on how it goes. Thus far, it's been a good challenge.

With one of my favorite musicians, Tim Minchin:

At the Disneyland park. One big thing I've taken notice about myself is that my left eye looks significantly smaller than my right eye (the exotrope). No clue why, but this seems to be a big physical trait in other people I've seen with my same condition.

An old old picture of me at 8 years old with significant exotropia.

Your eyes look great! Do fill us in on how 3D looks to someone who has seen in 2D all her life.

Way to go Anna! It looks like you have found your "transfer package" in these examples by the beauty of having the ability to see in "stereo". In addition to this beauty and excitment, did you also experience any other positive emotional association with this new found ability? We see that when our patient can experience that as well, then the individual is able to "lock on" with their binocular vision even more consistently as a result of the positive emotional asscociation. Is this true for you? Glad to hear you are doing so well!
