Why do glasses cost so much?
Developmental, functional, and behavioral optometrists often use spectacles (lenses and prisms) as part of the optometric vision therapy program our patients experience. Making sure our patients wear these glasses is as important as any other aspect of the therapy program we may prescribe. Spectacles must look and fit great, as well as, provide outstanding vision and therapeutic benefit.

Not only does Luxxotica overcharge their customers, they don't train their opticians that people with strabismus or ambylopia can not have their PD measured with their traditional measuring equipment. Luxxotica almost killed me because the prism glasses I got had the wrong PD. A difference of 4mm gave me horrible double vision.
