I was fortunate enough to be asked by the American Optometric Association to be featured on the AOA's digital TV program (I Want My AOA TV) in their Member's Spotlight segment. This segment discusses 3 D Movie Vision Syndrome, where movie goers get more than their monies worth...unfortuantely what they typically get includes headache, eye strain, diplopia (seeing double)....and NO 3 D!!
Before you go to a 3 D movie, it might be an excellent idea to have a comprehensive vision examination by an optometrist. Go to http://www.AOA.org and http://www.COVD.org (College of Optometrists in Vision Development) to find a doctor who can help click on their "Doctor's Locator". Other questions? Email me at dmaino@ico.edu, conduct a search by typing "3 D" in the search box in the upper left of this blog, and vision http://www.NW.optometry.net and http://www.ICO.edu.

Comment by Dr. Dan L. Fortenbacher on April 23, 2010 at 4:32pm Hello! Wanted to share great news that you can now upload videos directly on to Sovoto, as opposed to uploading using YouTube or Vimeo code.
Here is how to do it:
1. Navigate to your profile page
2. On the left-hand column navigation click "videos"
3. Immediately on screen you are prompted to "click to add videos." Follow the remaining on screen instructions.
Please note:
You can add up to 30 videos at a time, and each video may be up to 100MB in size. We support videos in the .mov, .mp4, .mpg, .avi, .wmv, .3gp, and .3g2 file formats.
If you would like to add a video to your status, please select video. Then copy and paste your Sovoto video link into the status bar.
As always, if you have any questions, please let me know.
Happy video uploading!
